Flash on the Beach, Brighton, UK — memorable moment. Robert Hodgin shows one of his works (an edited version of Magnetosphere) and I’ve never seen 700 people staring at a giant screen in such an absolute silence before. Put 700 people in one room, and try to create absolute silence, you’ll find it impossible, not for Robert Hodgin that is.
After seeing his session “The Blind Sketchmaker” on Multimania ’07 in Kortrijk, I was really looking forward to his new pres, called “2D or not 2D that is the question”. And I wasn’t the only one, the CornExchange was packed, they even stopped people from entering the room and they ended up by putting a lot of people in front of the stage on the floor, including a lot of speakers which I think shows a great respect for this guy.
