When you’re getting a #2032 error from an adobe air badge, there are 2 reasons for getting this error.
First of all make sure you’re using a full path to the AIR file, eg http://www.ploem.be/airfile.air
And secondly you’ll need to set the mime type on your server for AIR applications. You can find out how to set an adobe air mime-type on IIS!

Love is in the air at Indie Group. Can you feel it? No? Not yet? Play the Indie Group Love is in the Air-game and share your love…
Indie Group built a little application/game and used Adobe Air for a first demo project. We used flex builder 3 (application), flash CS3 (little game made by ward with papervision) and the AIR SDK. There was also a .net-part (built by itto) and the pictures of the Indie Crew were taken by naikoo*.
Next to some smaller reasons there were two big reasons why we choose to use Adobe AIR-technology:
> integrating drag and drop functionality from the desktop/user pc
> possibility to build a customizable AIR file with specific content on the server with the Adobe SDK
The goal of the application is that people start creating their own game (with their own chosen pictures) and send it out to their friends (etc..). The most recent version is the version with the Valentine skin (yea baby!) which can be found on http://www.indiegroup.be/air (dutch). This game has been sent out to all of Indie Group clients with the promise if they can come up with their own idea for an Adobe Air application, we will create the best idea we receive for free!
Find my most recent tutorial in the how to-section on How to … build an AIR application from bat file with the Adobe Air SDK.

Wtf is …
Pownce is a way to send messages, files, links, and events to your friends. You’ll create a network of the people you know and then you can share stuff with all of them, just a few of them, or even just one other person really fast.
The reason I post this is not because Pownce is (or maybe is going to be) “the next best messenger-tool on the web”, but because it has a desktop client version that’s been made with Adobe Air (one of the first on the web).
Yep, Air is new and stands for Adobe Integrated Runtime. It was known as Apollo, it’s codename. You can do all the things online on pownce, but regular users will find it easier to download the client and run it on the desktop. With the air client, it’s possible to do that cross-platform. All you need to do is install the Air Runtime Environent. Installation is fast and smooth.
Pownce looks sharp and is ready to become big, but keep in mind that this is an alpha release. Only downside so far : you cannot keep the application running in the background but I’m sure this will change in the further releases. The alpha is an invite-only thing. You can apply to be added to the list here. Stay tuned…
